Next is a narrow hall with a Fire Bar and two Goombas (three in the remakes), followed by a room of lava with platforms above that have Fire Bars and a vertically moving lift. After the first pit, there is a row of ? Blocks with a long Fire Bar rotating between them and a Koopa Troopa on top in the second to the left ? Block from the Fire Bar is a power-up.
